Express Freighters Australia (EFA) is Qantas Freight’s wholly-owned subsidiary freighter management company. EFA operates the B737, B767 and A321 aircraft in Qantas Freight livery.
Operating by night, they transport freight within Australia (B737 and A321) and internationally (B767) on time and ready for the day ahead.
They fly everything from freight, pets, unaccompanied baggage, special movements or charter. This means for them, every day is different. No matter what they’re carrying on board, they take the same care they would flying passengers, never forgetting their customers on the ground rely on them just the same.
A number of fixed term contract opportunities now exist within Express Freighters Australia (EFA) for suitably qualified and experienced pilots.

B767 Type Rating: YES.
- Languages: English
- CASA Frozen ATPL (CPL with ATPL subjects);
- CASA Class 1 flight crew medical certificate;
- ICAO Level 6 proficiency in English language;
- The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia;
- 1000 hours of total flying experience on type;
- Last flight on type within the previous 36 months;
- A valid passport allowing unrestricted travel with at least 12 months validity;
- Current endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a current Australian Instrument; Rating – Multi Engine Aeroplane;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical;
- The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test;
- Due to international and interstate travel restrictions, pilots residing in the applicable fleet base is highly desirable.
